Tri-Cities Opera's first national vocal competition, TCO NEXT, will encourage emerging professional singers by promoting new voices and new music. This completely online opportunity features an anonymous audio-only first round, and a focus on new music and musical theatre. Singers will compete for cash prizes with a grand prize of $3000 and a contract for a future role with Tri-Cities Opera. Early bird deadline: August 1, 2020.
Important information regarding young artist program deadlines during the coronavirus pandemic: North American opera companies continue to adjust reopening structures, including young artist training, around the fluid landscape of CoVid-19 restrictions. This season’s young artist opportunities may be posted later than usual as we prepare for this unusual audition season, so do not assume you have missed deadlines based on previous years' schedules. Continue to monitor YAP Tracker and each company’s website and social media channels for further updates and information.
