Prague Summer Nights hosts aspiring young opera professionals for 4 weeks of individual coaching & voice lessons in Tábor & Prague with faculty from top schools such as Juilliard, UT Austin, Oberlin, Northwestern University, U-M & DU. Two Wilkinson Young Singers Awards — a First Prize of $5,000 and a Second Prize of $1,000 — are awarded annually. The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $50,000 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award and the $10,000 Facing Forward Award for the finest performance of an aria composed in the 21st century. The 2026 competition takes place in New York City May 18-23. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and judges. The Opera Academy of the Opéra des Landes is a summer where you don’t just study — you live the life of a professional singer in France.
