Prague Summer Nights 2026:  Scholarships available!

Prague Summer Nights hosts aspiring young opera professionals for 4 weeks of individual coaching & voice lessons in Tábor & Prague with faculty from top schools such as Juilliard, UT Austin, Oberlin, Northwestern University, U-M & DU. Participate in an opera scenes program/performance, a cabaret night and fully staged opera productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica at the Church of Sts. Wilkinson Young Singers Awards 2026: Deadline March 25!

Two Wilkinson Young Singers Awards — a First Prize of $5,000 and a Second Prize of $1,000 — are awarded annually. Additionally, two first-prize winners collaborate on a joint recital sponsored by Wilkinson Young Singers Fund (WYSF).  The 2026 competition will have two rounds: A video (taped) qualifying round A live final competition in Boston The application process is open to all singers who are: Between the ages of 20 and 30 Residing in the Boston area Actively pursuing a career in music Available for the 2027 WYSF Recital (date TBD) Previous applicants who have not received the First Prize Award from WYSF are welcome to reapply.  The deadline to apply for the 2026 competition is 11:59pm EDT on March 25, 2026. https://www.wilkinsonfund.org/apply

The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $50,000 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award and the $10,000 Facing Forward Award for the finest performance of an aria composed in the 21st century. The 2026 competition takes place in New York City May 18-23. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and judges.
