Dates are June 18 - July 31 and the opportunity can be combined with the American Spiritual Intensive July 31-August 10. 49th Annual Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition. Application deadline: Sat., Jan. 31, 2026.  Fee $30. Late application deadline: Sat., Feb. 14, 2026. Fee $60. Semi-Finals: April 11, 2026, NYC. Finals: April 18, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In 1977 the Oratorio Society of New York inaugurated an annual Solo Competition designed to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give talented young singers an opportunity to advance their careers. The competition has become international in scope, well-known in the music world, and is the only major competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing. $22,000 in cash prizes.   Age Limit: 40 years (born after January 1, 1986). Open to singers in the early or emerging phases of their careers.

PARTNERS National Opera Competition is open to singers 25 to 35. First prize: $15,000; 2nd Prize: $10,000; 3rd Prize; $5,000; Judges’ Special Award $2,000; Audience Choice Award: $1,000; Finalists' travel expenses: $750.
