Opera Caledonia Vocal Studio Course 29th June - 7th July 2026 An intensive vocal studio course providing the opportunity for a small group of singers and répétiteurs performing at conservatoire level or beyond to work with leading professionals from the opera industry–taking place amidst the Victorian splendour of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. Faculty includes: David Gowland (Royal Opera House), Darrell Babidge (The Metropolitan Opera), Amanda Roocroft (soprano), David Cowan (Opera North), Judith Howarth (soprano), Derek Clark (Scottish Opera), Susannah Wapshott (Scottish Opera). Programme includes: vocal coaching, voice lessons, masterclasses, conductor sessions, performance opportunities, mock auditions, recording opportunities, chorus coaching, recitative sessions etc.

Applications for Opera Colorado's 2026-27 Artist in Residence program close in four days! Our next class of Artists in Residence will mark the start of an era defined by expanded opportunities, bold storytelling, and a continued commitment to developing the next generation of operatic voices. Apply by December 15th. Artists in Residence will now be considered for principal roles, in addition to supporting and covers, and take on principal roles in touring productions across Colorado. They will be integral in our expanded community-building efforts, and will be featured in statewide performances, concerts, and community events.

Prague Summer Nights 2026:  2nd Round Application Deadline: Jan 18, 2026!

Prague Summer Nights hosts aspiring young opera professionals for 4 weeks of individual coaching & voice lessons in Tábor & Prague with faculty from top schools such as Juilliard, UT Austin, Oberlin, Northwestern University, U-M & DU. Participate in an opera scenes program/performance, a cabaret night and fully staged opera productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica at the Church of Sts. Simon and Jude, accompanied by a larger PSN chamber ensemble, and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte & Don Giovanni in the Estates Theatre, accompanied by the full PSN orchestra. The Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition 2026: applications now open!

49th Annual Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition. Application deadline: Sat., Jan. 31, 2026.  Fee $30. Late application deadline: Sat., Feb. 14, 2026. Fee $60. Semi-Finals: April 11, 2026, NYC. Finals: April 18, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In 1977 the Oratorio Society of New York inaugurated an annual Solo Competition designed to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give talented young singers an opportunity to advance their careers. The competition has become international in scope, well-known in the music world, and is the only major competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing. $22,000 in cash prizes.   Age Limit: 40 years (born after January 1, 1986). Open to singers in the early or emerging phases of their careers.

Opera Theatre of the Rockies 2026: apply now!

In collaboration with Colorado College, Opera Theatre of the Rockies presents the 2026 Vocal Arts Festival. The Festival is open to all serious students of voice. Participants will receive 3 weeks of intensive training in vocal and dramatic arts with emphasis on performance from July 12 to July 31.
