The Young-Patronesses of the Opera/Florida Grand Opera Voice Competition takes place from April 30 to May 2 in Coral Gables, Florida. Singers who are currently enrolled in, or who have graduated from, a professional opera program are selected, based on two audio samples and resume, to participate in live auditions. The live auditions consist of two rounds before a panel of judges.  All semifinalists who participate in the live auditions will receive at least a stipend of $1,000. Singers must provide their own travel and accommodations. The top award in the Senior division is $10,000, and in the Junior division, $7,500. Must be 30 or younger as of the application deadline (February 15, 2026). Application deadline is Sunday, February 15.

A summer program in a European festival? The deadline has just been extended to 28 February 2026. A limited number of major roles (and scholarships) are still available. Young Artists work in collaboration with world-class singers, directors, conductors, and coaches. The repertoire for 2026 includes Le nozze di Figaro, a bold new version of Orphée et Euridice (both with orchestra), Cabaret Paris Berlin in the baroque market hall, and recitals and Gala (with piano). Training includes individual vocal and repertoire coaching, masterclasses, and career seminars addressing opportunities in Europe and the United States. Daily French language classes are available. In collaboration with Colorado College, Opera Theatre of the Rockies presents the 2026 Vocal Arts Festival. The Festival is open to all serious students of voice. Participants will receive 3 weeks of intensive training in vocal and dramatic arts with emphasis on performance from July 12 to July 31. Our alumni are singing all over the world, from the Metropolitan Opera to Tokyo and all companies in between. Come and join us for a summer in the mountains of Colorado. The Schmidt Vocal Institute (SVI) nurtures and mentors the development of talented high school singers who wish to pursue studies in music performance or education. A New Era for Young Artists. Created in 1998 by American bass-baritone Richard Cowan, the Festival Lyrique-en-Mer has trained emerging singers through its Young Artist Academy. Nearly thirty years later, Belle-Île — with its natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage — remains an inspiring setting for developing tomorrow’s operatic talent. In 2026, with this renewed structure, advanced students and young professionals will fully immerse themselves in perfecting and performing a French operatic work, supported by a high level artistic team. The Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts, the Young Artists Programme of Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia offers a project of professional insertion and training for young opera singers. This project is offered to candidates with high vocal and artistic qualities and proper technical preparation to integrate into the daily activity of an opera house. We Offer: Employment contract: monthly gross remuneration of €1600. Real experience performing roles in the opera season. Extra pay per performance: €100–200. The Vienna Summer Music Festival offers an immersive, performance-driven experience where every participant performs named roles with orchestra in fully staged productions.
