Solti-Peretti Repetiteur Course: Pianists who are interested in developing their skills as opera répétiteurs/coaches are invited to apply for the Georg Solti Accademia's 2026 Solti-Peretti Répétiteur Course, which takes place at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Italy. Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra: Attention Assistant Conductors!

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) announces an opening for a one-year position as Assistant Conductor. The successful candidate will assist Robert Spano, FWSO Music Director and serve as cover conductor for the Music Director, Pops conductors, and guest conductors for all orchestra services. The Assistant Conductor will lead education, family, and community concerts in addition to other conducting and administrative duties as specified by the Music Director and Artistic Operations department.

The 28th Annual Lotte Lenya Competition: apply now!

The Lotte Lenya Competition, the one-of-kind contest for singing actors across the entire lyric theater spectrum, returns for its 28th year! Submit your application now at kwf.org through February 4, 2026.  Top Finals prizes are $25,000, $20,000 and $15,000. Additional prizes will be awarded after the Preliminary and Semifinal, and Finals rounds — including our recently added Audience Choice Award!  We can’t wait to hear this year’s contestants!

Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program – Application closes October 17th!

USUO proudly supports Resident Artist singers and pianists with an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend nine months from September to May developing professional skills through mainstage performances with USUO, expert coachings, workshops, and masterclass sessions.  The USUO Resident Artists are the primary, in-person ambassadors for opera and artistry in many of our local communities, but most particularly among Utah’s K-12 schools.  Each individual should expect to share their talent with USUO’s staff, board, and donors as well as Utah’s most diverse audiences as they travel around our beautiful state.

The Aix Festival is now accepting applications for the 2026 Vocal Residency, which will take place from 22 June to 9 July 2026 in Aix-en-Provence. Don't hesitate to apply online now until midnight on 12 October.  For over 25 years, the Académie du Festival d'Aix has been committed to nurturing a new generation of artists, by creating inspiring residencies that combine tradition and innovation. Lyric art, the genesis of opera, is one of its special features. The Académie creates a space for international artists to develop their careers, through encounters with recognized voice masters.  The Voice residency 2026 pursues the objectives of its predecessors, reinforcing the role of musical dramaturgy and vocal coaching in the profession of singers and pianists.

Bach Festival Society of Winter Park’s 2nd Annual National Oratorio Competition: Applications now open!

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park’s 2nd Annual National Oratorio Competition is now accepting applications!  The Competition is open to unmanaged American singers with an interest in oratorio repertoire. During the week of February 9, 2026, eight amazing finalists will be invited to participate in coaching sessions, masterclasses, and rehearsals that will be open to the public as part of the 91st Annual Bach Festival in Winter Park, FL. The Competition final concert with full orchestra will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Knowles Memorial Chapel on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
