Under dynamic new leadership at both the company and within the program, the 2026–27 Artist in Residence class will step into an era defined by expanded opportunities, bold storytelling, and a continued commitment to developing the next generation of operatic voices. Artists in Residence will now be considered for principal roles, in addition to supporting and covers, and take on principal roles in touring productions across Colorado. They will be integral in our expanded community-building efforts, and will be featured in statewide performances, concerts, and community events. Apply by December 15, 2025!

In collaboration with Colorado College, Opera Theatre of the Rockies presents the 2026 Vocal Arts Festival. The Festival is open to all serious students of voice. Participants will receive 3 weeks of intensive training in vocal and dramatic arts with emphasis on performance from July 12 to July 31. The Manhattan Opera Studio is holding auditions for the 2026 Summer Festival. The MOS Summer Festival is the first Summer Program of its kind in Manhattan. The Summer Festival is an intensive training and performance preparation program in which all the selected singers will have the opportunity to perform a fully staged opera with an orchestra. In addition, all singers will participate in an aria and opera scenes concert in the prestigious Bruno Walter Hall at Lincoln Center. There will be masterclasses with some of the most renowned opera agents of New York City, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and coachings in music and diction.
