The Music Academy of the West's Lehrer Vocal Institute is the leading source to develop artists of impact and prepare them for a 21st-century career in opera, art song, chamber music, contemporary music, and more. Co-directors Sasha Cooke and John Churchwell and our world-class teaching artist roster curate unique performance opportunities, customized to meet your goals. Opportunities include:
- Fully-staged opera: Verdi’s Falstaff – a new production led by conductor James Conlon and director Mo Zhou.
- Marilyn Horne Song Competition: Singers and pianists compete in this historic competition to each win a cash award.
