Los Angeles, Ann Arbor deadline: November 29 at 11:59pm Pittsburgh, recorded audition deadline: December 1 at 11:59pm Solo roles, concerts, recitals, masterclasses, private lessons, and coachings form the basis of one of the most extensive and individualized Young Artist programs in the country. Work with and perform alongside world-class faculty from the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, New York City Opera, and San Francisco Opera. Final deadline November 30: Lyric Opera Studio Weimar 2017 Winter Session!

Final Deadline to apply November 30!! Now in its tenth year, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar will present six performances of Rossini’s La Cenerentola in Theater Rudolstadt’s 2017 professional mainstage season. Participants will sing a full role in performances accompanied by the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, conducted by Maestro Oliver Weder, with stage direction by LOSW General Director Damon Nestor Ploumis. LOSW is a comprehensive opera training program designed for emerging professional singers considering a career in Europe, with a focus on the German theater system. We offer intense training in singing, movement, rehearsal process and role study, master classes, individual lessons and stagecraft instruction, as well as daily German language and diction coaching. In addition to performing a role in a fully-staged opera in a professional production with orchestra, students receive sessions in audition techniques and career management and have the opportunity to audition for German state and private agents. LAST WEEK TO APPLY!! The Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition returns for its 29th year in the re-envisioned and expanded format. The Guild is accepting applications from residents of all 50 states and U.S. Territories. Finalists will perform with The Dallas Opera Orchestra under the baton of renowned Music Director Emmanuel Villaume. $10,000 for the first prize winner. Full Fellowship: Toronto Summer Music Academy's 2017 Art of Song Program!

Applications are now open for Toronto Summer Music Academy's Art of Song program. This program, for a small cohort of eight singers and four pianists is devoted to the study and performance of Art Song. Participants study with all faculty members, voice and piano, thus receiving advice from a variety of musical traditions and perspectives. The session also offers detailed study of text, diction, and action coaching. This year’s Mentors include the great Finnish Soprano, Soile Isokoski, Kammersängerin of the Vienna State Opera, as well as Martin Katz, one of the world’s most celebrated collaborative pianists. Steven Philcox will be coordinating and coaching the Fellows again this summer.

November 15 DEADLINE approaching for Miami Wagner Institute applications! Collaborative pianist positions available! WAGNERIAN/DRAMATIC SINGERS: The Miami Wagner Institute is an elite tuition-free Young Artist Program and the first of it’s kind for dramatic/lyric-in-transition singers led by pre-eminent Wagnerian performers, educators and specialists including Christine Brewer, Alan Held and Kathleen Kelly. This program aims to provide much-needed training and professional-level performance opportunities for the unique demands of the dramatic singer. Last summer's inaugural Miami Wagner Institute premiered to rave reviews, "words fall short to praise this presentation” (EL NUEVO HERALD), culminating in a sold-out performance at the New World Center with Christine Goerke and Alan Held, joined by Young Artist soloists and the MMF Symphony Orchestra.

Apply now: Halifax Summer Opera Festival 2017!

The Halifax Summer Opera Festival is Canada's friendliest and most supportive summer opera program, now auditioning for its 13th season! Spend four weeks in beautiful Nova Scotia rehearsing and performing a role in one of our three operas for 2017: Handel's Ariodante, Bizet's Carmen or Britten's Albert Herring. Open to singers of all ages and nationalities. In person auditions in Canada in November, distance applications accepted by digital upload until all roles are filled. Come and experience opera in a positive, collaborative environment where you're treated like an individual.

Full-scholarship summer program in Santa Barbara, CA, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Utah Opera Resident Artist Program - Application Deadline Friday, October 28! Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program for singers and pianists provides an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend nine months on a paid residency with Utah Opera developing professional skills through mainstage performances with Utah Opera and Utah Symphony, coachings, workshops, yoga, and masterclass sessions. Resident Artists also travel throughout the state to perform in-school presentations and teach students about the art of opera.
