Prague Summer Nights Festival in Prague this summer!

Join an international cast, performing fully staged productions of Don Giovanni, Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi in Prague this summer! Still casting for Commendatore, chorus and covers for all major roles in Don Giovanni, directed by Sherrill Milnes, and performed fully staged w/orchestra at the Estates Theatre, where Mozart conducted the premier in 1787. Casting limited roles in Suor Angelica, including Badessa and Osmina and in Gianni Schicchi, including Nella, Betto and Marco. Opera Experience Southeast 2016: Apply now!

Hey don’t just gather dust in a YAP chorus this Summer! Come join Opera Experience Southeast June 7th - 27th 2016, to sing a leading role in our fully staged public production of Madama Butterfly. Add another star to the crown of your performing credits and make valuable connections. Find out how the German house system really works and revamp your audition repertoire for success in Europe! Our 2016 Summer Program will be hosted in Rock Hill, SC from June 7 - June 27, 2016. We will choose approximately 14 singers to participate in an intensive 3-week performance and professional development program. Rehearsals will be interspersed with individual coaching sessions, master classes and career development/mentoring with OES Company and Guest Experts: Thor Eckert, professional Development Coach at AVA, Kathryn Wright, International Vocal Coach and Prompter, Lawrence Bakst, International tenor and John Fowler, International Tenor. Our mainstage production will be Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Performances will be held at Sun City Carolina Lakes Ballroom Theater, Fort Mill, SC, June 25th and June 26th, 2016. Last days to apply to the Institute of Women Conductors! Women conductors from around the world are invited to apply to the second residency of the Linda and Mitch Hart Institute of Women Conductors (IWC) at The Dallas Opera, a unique program designed to further the careers of distinctively talented female conductors. Accomplished female singers, opera coaches, composers, accompanists and instrumentalists with established careers looking to move into conducting are also encouraged to apply. While successful applicants will generally be 40 and under years old, there is no strict age cutoff. Hands-on conducting opportunities with the full Dallas Opera Orchestra; master classes with TDO's Principal Guest Conductor, Nicole Paiement and Italian maestro Carlo Montanaro. The deadline to apply is April 22, 2016.

Attention lyric tenors and baritones: Boston University's Opera Institute applications are open!

Boston University Opera Institute auditions for lyric tenors and baritones to take place on May 9, 2016. The Opera Institute is an intensive, highly selective two-year performance-based training program for emerging operatic artists. Up to 12 individuals are accepted into the program each year through a process of national audition and recruitment. Each Institute member receives full tuition and stipend. The Institute also serves as the Center of Opera Training for Vocal Performance degree candidates, where students share training and casting opportunities. Apply by May 4!
