Distinguished faculty in the hometown of Giacomo Puccini: Opera Lucca 2020

Study Bel Canto Opera in Puccini’s Hometown! Opera Lucca is a summer course for college students in the heart of Tuscany, focusing on Italian bel canto repertoire and language. The 2020 season will be held at the Lucca Italian School, from June 7th to July 4th. Repertoire will include scenes from Le nozze di Figaro, La bohème, and La traviata as well as other Baroque and bel canto repertoire. Our faculty are experts in operatic Italian: Peter Volpe, Marco Nisticò, Marcello Cormio, Elvia Puccinelli, Raphael Fusco, and Antonella Gozzoli. Lucca is a medieval walled city and is close to Florence, Pisa, Siena, and the Italian Riviera. Audition now for roles and early consideration! Application deadline is February 2nd, 2020.
