The VOCAL IMMERSION PROGRAM at CASTLETON (ViP) is a 2-week performing arts mentoring program for a select group of emerging professional artists. World-renowned singers Michelle DeYoung, Paul Groves, actress Dietlinde Turban Maazel, are joined by collaborative pianists, world percussion artist Tom Teasley, and guest faculty Susan Graham, Bryn Terfel, and Stephen Wadsworth. ViP is merit-based and tuition-free. Shared houses and meals at Castleton farms provide full immersion and focus. No age restrictions. Program Dates: Dec 04-16, 2023. Opera Theatre of St. Louis' Gerdine Young Artist Program, led by Patricia Racette, seeks to offer emerging young artists invaluable performance experience as they begin their professional careers. In addition to singing in the mainstage production choruses, GYAs are featured in supporting roles, cover all mainstage roles, and are featured soloists in the annual Center Stage program accompanied by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, an event that draws opera administrators, artist managers, and national and international press to St. Louis each season. GYAs are hired on an AGMA contract and receive a weekly salary, round-trip transportation, a modest sustenance allotment and accommodations for the duration of their engagement.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra announces an opening for a two-year position as Assistant Conductor. The  candidate will assist the FWSO Music Director, Robert Spano and serve as cover conductor for the Music Director, Pops conductors, and guest conductors for all orchestra services. The Assistant Conductor will lead education, family, and community concerts in addition to other conducting and administrative duties as specified by the Music Director and Artistic Operations department. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and be eligible to work in the U.S.
