We invite you to the beautiful Mediterranean city of Tel-Aviv for our Summer Opera Program July 10-29th, 2023. Join an internationally acclaimed faculty for a three week intensive course. Located on the beautiful Mediterranean coast, Tel-Aviv is host to this unique intensive summer program held at the modern Israel Conservatory of Music located in the heart of the Tel-Aviv. The program consists of 4 fully staged operas and 1 musical theater concert performed with piano. Each production is typically single cast. In addition there are masterclasses, concerts and classes on the preparation of and business of the 21st century classical vocalist. The program concludes with a gala concert performed with orchestra at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
Presented by the Connecticut Lyric Opera and the Connecticut Virtuosi, the Greve Opera Academy & Music Festival is for young opera singers who seek the opportunity to perform leading roles in fully staged opera productions with a professional orchestra. International faculty includes singers and coaches from major Italian opera theaters. We focus on providing artistic excellence combined with practical professional experience. The 2023 Edition of the festival will feature a production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni as well as other concerts and recitals. Canto is extending the application deadline for the Louisville and the Northern Virginia programs until February 28. In addition to a staged production of "The Tales of Hoffmann" for Louisville, we will be presenting an evening of Offenbach operetta and other opera scenes. Canto will also present its traditional concert at Louisville's Speed Museum. The 2-week program in Northern Virginia ends with a gala accompanied by an orchestral ensemble. In both programs singers will work daily with Canto's international faculty from the Metropolitan Opera, Les Maîtres Sonneurs and Boston Conservatory. Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is set in one of the world's most unique and inspiring settings, the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1977 the Oratorio Society of New York inaugurated an annual Solo Competition designed to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give talented young singers an opportunity to advance their careers. The Competition has become international in scope and well-known in the music world, and is the only major competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing. $22,000 in cash prizes. Age Limit 40 years - must be born after Jan. 1, 1983. Open to singers who are early in their oratorio career.
