Apply now to the National Opera Association's Carolyn Bailey Argento Vocal Competition, the finals of which will be held in Boston on January 10, 2026.  All selected finalists will receive $400 travel stipends to attend the competition! New repertoire requirement this year: an aria composed since 2000. Over $15,000 in cash prizes will be awarded in two divisions: Scholarship (ages 18-24) and Artist (ages 25-40). Applications are open for Mascarade Opera, an opera training and performance programme at the Mascarade Opera Foundation in Florence, Italy for exceptionally talented young singers and répétiteurs. The programme is carefully designed around performance opportunities; through close collaborations with leading artist agencies and major operatic houses across Europe, artists are given the unique opportunity to put their development into professional practice on stage. Places on the programme are entirely funded with artists receiving tuition, maintenance and accommodation grants equivalent to entry-level salaried positions in the industry.

Chautauqua Opera provides our Young Artists with performance tools essential to establishing a professional career in opera. It is recognized as one of the best training programs for young singers in America today, and over 1,000 artists have benefited from this professional training experience. Chautauqua Opera Company’s 2026 season will feature a triple-bill on the Amphitheater stage and three workshops of contemporary works in development.

The National Opera Studio's Young Artist Programme is one of the UK's most respected opera training opportunities for singers and repetiteurs. Founded by and working in partnership with the country's six leading opera companies, it bridges the gap between higher education and a professional career. The most coaching-intensive programme in the UK. Regular auditions and exposure to casting directors from major UK companies. Residencies with WNO, Opera North, and Scottish Opera and opera scenes projects in London with world-class conductors and directors. Funding: Fully funded training; £1,000/month stipend; Bursaries up to £650/month; Extra funds for singing or piano lessons (£600/year); Auditions Travel Fund (up to £260).

The Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts, the Young Artists Programme of Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia offers a project of professional insertion and training for young opera singers and répétiteur pianists which allows them to achieve experience at a high artistic level, with the aim of launching their careers and facilitating their professional introduction into the world of music. The Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts wishes to train pianists in several specialties of this discipline, and it seeks to facilitate as much as possible their entry into the professional music world.  The training will take place from September to July and it will be full-time (Season 2025-2026 and 2026-2027).

Spend winter in beautiful southwest Florida from January 19 - March 15, 2026  as a Resident Artist with Opera Naples.  Four selected artists will be featured in principal and secondary roles in Turandot, L'elisir d'amore, and Scalia/Ginsburg and will also be featured in three concerts: "An Evening of Opera’s Greatest Hits," "Voices of Triumph," and "Stars and Standards: An American Songbook Celebration."  Resident Artists receive training and performance opportunities including regular coachings on roles and standard repertoire.  A weekly stipend, travel stipend, and local housing is provided.
