Opera Colorado is opening a new chapter of artistic growth and innovation—and we invite emerging artists to be part of this journey. Under dynamic new leadership at both the company and within the program, the 2026–27 Artist in Residence class will step into an era defined by expanded opportunities, bold storytelling, and a continued commitment to developing the next generation of operatic voices.  Artists in Residence will now be considered for principal roles, in addition to supporting and covers, and take on principal roles in touring productions across Colorado. They will be integral in our expanded community-building efforts, and will be featured in statewide performances, concerts, and community events. Apply by December 15, 2025!

In collaboration with Colorado College, Opera Theatre of the Rockies presents the 2026 Vocal Arts Festival. The Festival is open to all serious students of voice. Participants will receive 3 weeks of intensive training in vocal and dramatic arts with emphasis on performance from July 12 to July 31. Young Artists work in collaboration with world-class singers, directors, conductors, and coaches, both in production rehearsals and in training sessions.
