The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $41,500 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award. The 2019 competition takes place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in New York City May 13-18. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive with professional accompanists and preliminary judges. Twelve finalists are chosen to perform before the Finals Judges who are distinguished in the world of opera. After the competition, finalists may request feedback from the judges.
