Progressive Musicians is dedicated to helping musicians achieve their goals and advance artistically. We recently launched our Fall Online Classics Competition! Over $2,500 in available prizes. Early bird special on application submissions by October 15th. Deadline to apply is November 1st. The American Traditions Vocal Competition to be held virtually in 2021

The American Traditions Vocal Competition has announced they will change course for 2021 and hold their 28th annual vocal competition virtually from February 9-19, 2021.  Singers will still perform nine different genres of American music and will be eligible to receive almost $40,000 in prizes.   Following the audio-only application, 28 singers will be selected as Quarterfinailsts. Each contestant will have planning sessions with AD and A/V teams, as well as rehearsals for filming, recording and preparation, and will receive either $300 or recording equipment, depending on need. Michigan Opera Theatre Studio 2021-22: Deadline 10/12!

MICHIGAN OPERA THEATRE Studio Artist Auditions, 21-22 Season Applications now open! Deadline: Oct. 12, 2020 MOT is working with other young artist programs on a coordinated virtual audition process this fall.  The Studio Artists of Michigan Opera Theatre gain valuable experience through myriad performance opportunities in MOT mainstage and Studio productions, and community events. They also benefit from advanced individual training and guidance from program director, Richard Leech and an array of world class professionals, guest artists, and coaches. The 2021 Saengerbund Awards: Deadline Dec 1!

The Houston Saengerbund is a private, charitable foundation in Houston, TX whose mission is to support and encourage German music, language, and culture.  Each year the foundation sponsors a vocal competition for rising professional singers on the brink of a solo career.  Past judges have come from the ranks of professional opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera and the Houston Grand Opera, major Conservatories, and professional classical singing artists.  Past winners have gone on to significant opportunities with major US houses. This year's prizes:  1st:  $5,000.  2nd:  $3,500.  3rd:  $2,500.  Finalist Awards:  $1,000. TCO NEXT: Tri-Cities Opera's first national vocal competition now virtual!

Tri-Cities Opera's first national vocal competition, TCO NEXT, will encourage emerging professional singers by promoting new voices and new music. This completely online opportunity features an anonymous audio-only first round, and a focus on new music and musical theatre. Singers will compete for cash prizes with a grand prize of $3000 and a contract for a future role with Tri-Cities Opera. Early bird deadline: August 1, 2020.
