Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival, the original Opera festival in Czechia celebrating 10 years! Sing in historic opera houses & concert halls in Tábor, Prague and now Vienna! Preliminaries are held in New York City on February 17, 18 & 19, 2025.  Finals are in front of a live audience (and live streamed!) on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 4PM.  For more details visit our website at www.georgeandnoralondon.org.  Now in it's 53rd year, the George and Nora London Foundation competition is open to U.S. and Canadian citizens only.  You will need to provide a three minute audio or video clip of you performing as well as a reference letter from someone who has worked with you within the last six months.  There is no fee to apply and if chosen to sing for us, a pianist is provided at no cost. We invite you to partake in the inaugural season of Tokyo Opera Studio, where we will explore Mozart's masterpieces against the backdrop of Tokyo's urban vibrancy. Dubbed "one of the most important international competitions in the world" by Teresa Stratas, the Lenya Competition is a one-of-a-kind theatrical singing contest that asks contestants to demonstrate a variety of idioms across the lyrical theater spectrum: from musical theater to opera/operetta (with a little Kurt Weill along the way!) An intensive vocal studio course providing the opportunity for a small group of vocal artists and répétiteurs performing at conservatoire level or beyond to work with leading professionals from the opera industry – taking place amidst the Victorian splendour of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. Pianists who are interested in developing their skills as opera répétiteurs/coaches are invited to apply for the Georg Solti Accademia's 2025 Solti-Peretti Répétiteur Course, which takes place from April 9 to 19, 2025 at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Italy. During this 10 day programme, students will dive deeply into the various skills required of opera repetiteurs while being mentored by an experienced faculty in a supportive and nurturing environment. These skills include: vocal coaching, playing & reducing opera scores, conducting & cueing/prompting, and more.
