The VOCAL IMMERSION PROGRAM at CASTLETON (ViP) is a 2-week performing arts mentoring program for a select group of emerging professional artists. World-renowned singers, Michelle DeYoung, Paul Groves, actor Dietlinde Turban Maazel, are joined by Carol Vaness, Julian Garvue, world percussion artist Tom Teasley, and guest advisors Susan Graham, Bryn Terfel, among others. ViP is merit-based and tuition-free. Shared houses and meals at Castleton farms provide full immersion and focus. No age restrictions. Program Dates: JAN 05-17, 2026. The Vienna Opera Competition 2025 is officially open! Young opera singers from around the world are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to perform in the historic Mozarthaus in Vienna — the city where Mozart lived, composed, and inspired generations. Lyric Arts France/Opera Bastide is a professional training and performance-centered Young Artists Program for emerging professional singers. The program takes place in a lovely mediaeval town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue in southwestern France, with full-scale opera productions (a flamenco-inspired Carmen and an English/French version of The Fantasticks) with chamber orchestra, vocal music concerts including French Art Song, and public masterclasses. Join us at Manhattan School of Music for masterclasses, music, and magic. Apply now until May 15!  Program costs: In 2025, there is no application fee. However, for singers admitted into the program, there will be a $25 program fee per masterclass. The fee is waived for all singers enrolled at Manhattan School of Music or who have graduated within the past 6 months from MSM. Additionally, for pianists accepted into in the program, there will be no cost. Please keep in mind that only a limited number of pianists will be accepted so it is highly competitive.  Auditors, Open to the public: $10 per masterclass.
