If you are selected for a live audition, please prepare the following:

Play:
Bernstein’s West Side Story, from Act I, The Dance at the Gym: Section 4b (Mambo)

Sing and Play:
1. A Mozart aria of your choice preceded by an accompanied recitative
2. An ensemble excerpt or scene of your choice from a 19th century Italian opera (no arias), at least 5 minutes long
3. One of the following German opera excerpts:
a) Strauss, Ariadne auf Naxos, from Prologue, "Sein wir wieder gut" (Komponist), from Sehr lebhaft (rehearsal 108) to etwas schneller (rehearsal 117)
b) Strauss, Der Rosenkavalier, from Act 1, "Wie du warst" (Octavian and Marschallin), from rehearsal 12 to 4 after rehearsal 25
4. A brief excerpt of any type from an opera written since 1940

Sight-reading may be requested.
