Young Patroness of the Opera Competition 2026: deadline approaching!

The Young-Patronesses of the Opera/Florida Grand Opera Voice Competition takes place from April 30 to May 2 in Coral Gables, Florida. Singers who are currently enrolled in, or who have graduated from, a professional opera program are selected, based on two audio samples and resume, to participate in live auditions. The live auditions consist of two rounds before a panel of judges. 

All semifinalists who participate in the live auditions will receive at least a stipend of $1,000. Singers must provide their own travel and accommodations. The top award in the Senior division is $10,000, and in the Junior division, $7,500.

Must be 30 or younger as of the application deadline (February 15, 2026).

Application deadline is Sunday, February 15.
