The Vienna Opera Competition 2025 is officially open!

Young opera singers from around the world are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to perform in the historic Mozarthaus in Vienna — the city where Mozart lived, composed, and inspired generations.

2nd. €2,500

Mozart Interpretation Prize: €1,000
All 8 finalists will receive free accommodation and who do not win a main prize will receive €500.

Organized by the Mozart Foundation, this competition celebrates excellence in opera and gives young artists a stage to be heard — live and worldwide via YouTube.

• Selected singers will proceed directly to the Final Round, held on August 5, 2025, at the historic Mozarthaus in Vienna.
• A rehearsal will be held for all finalists on August 4, 2025.
• Accommodation is provided for all 8 finalists.
• The Final Round will be broadcast live on the Vienna Opera Competition’s YouTube channel.
• Finalists may change their repertoire up to July 29, 2025.
