Join us in scenic Utah for UVAA’s 2022 Summer Opera Festival! 
 
Program includes Czech language coaching with Timothy Cheek; acting masterclasses with Marc Verzatt; vocal masterclasses with Darrell Babidge of The Juilliard School; masterclasses and singing competition with international dramatic soprano Deborah Voigt; private coaching and scenes performance; fully-staged productions with orchestra; and much more! 
 
Roles available: 
Dvorak's Rusalka - sung in Czech:
-Second Water Sprite (Soprano)
-Third Water Sprite (Mezzo-soprano)
-Water Gnome (Bass or Bass-Baritone)
 
Puccini's Gianni Schicchi - sung in Italian:
-Simone (Bass or Bass-Baritone)
 
Mozart's The Impresario - sung in English: 
-Mlle Silverpeal (Soprano) 
 
Application requirements: Applicants should prepare (2) contrasting opera arias for online video submission. Please make sure that the audio and video are of a good quality. Video should be close enough to see facial expressions if possible. Studio recorded (mixed and sound engineered) videos are not acceptable. We are looking for live, unmixed singing. Application fee of $25. 

Program Dates: You should be in Orem by 9am on July 5th. Departure should be July 31st. 

Program Cost: (Tuition is non-refundable under any circumstance)

Full participant: $2,600* (Includes a role in a main stage opera, participation in master classes and acting classes, weekly private coachings, other performances as scheduled)

Chorus only: $2,000* (Includes choral assignment in main stage operas, weekly private coachings, master classes, acting classes)

Auditor: $1,000* (Attendance at all master classes, acting classes, performances)

*Housing, transportation, and food costs for out of state participants are not included. UVAA has an agreement with a nearby apartment complex that is very affordable. The cost usually ranges from $400-550 depending on the particular accommodations and utilities desired.
