Utah Valley Operafest (formerly UVAA Summer Opera Festival) is dedicated to discovering operatic talent and transforming voices through deep role-study, ample time with orchestra, and extensive vocal training.
Each artist selected will receive a full-tuition fellowship. Participants will take the stage in multiple touring performances of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, conducted by Nicolas Giusti and directed by Marc Verzatt.
As artistic director, Deborah Voigt will be directing scenes at our annual gala and overseeing casting and vocal training. Training will include masterclasses with Jay Hunter Morris, coaching with Jean Anderson, and lessons with David Jones, Marina Costa-Jackson, and Isaac Hurtado.
Live and online auditions available.
