Celebrating its 11th year in Tokyo: Tokyo International Vocal Arts Academy (TIVAA) 2026!

Celebrating its 11th year in Tokyo, TIVAA is a well-established summer opera workshop offering professional training for advanced and young singers and pianists.

In 2026, TIVAA invites applications for ALL ROLES in a fully staged production of Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.
Roles will be assigned through video audition, allowing singers worldwide to apply.

The faculty includes Howard Watkins (Metropolitan Opera Assistant Conductor), Jorge Parodi (Music Director of the Moores Opera Center, University of Houston), and James Marvel (Stage Director / Assistant Professor of Opera and Stage Director of Florida State University), together with internationally active artists teaching at leading U.S. universities.

The program has received received support from the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan.
