Mt. Fuji International Opera Competition of Shizuoka 2026: Apply now!

Applications are now being accepted for the 10th Mt. Fuji International Opera Competition of Shizuoka, to be held from Nov. 14 to Nov. 22, 2026.

The 1st prize winner will receive 3 million yen (approximately USD $19,000). We also offer substantial support for international applicants, including financial support for traveling and accommodation.

The 1st prize winner will receive 3 million yen. Additionally, winners and finalists will receive prize money. (* All prize amounts shall be subject to taxation in compliance with Japanese tax laws.) (* When the same prize is awarded to more than one finalist, the prize money may be equally devided among the prizewinners and finalists.)

Financial support for traveling and accommodations will be provided for applicants residing outside of Japan. Comprehensive support services will be available on site.
