American Council for Polish Culture
This national vocal competition distinguishes young singers of Polish descent with a $2,000 prize. The winner will perform a Sembrich Award Concert before the representatives of 30 Polish organizations representing 15 states at the ACPC national convention in Pittsburgh, PA, in August of 2016. Judges will include: Edyta Kulczak, Polish-born mezzo-soprano is a resident performer at the Metropolitan Opera in NY, with a very prolific repertoire of roles in many operas. www.edytakulczak.com. Magdalena Wór, Polish-born mezzo soprano, is an opera and oratorio performer. She performs nationally, and often around the Washington DC area with the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Virginia Opera. www.mezzomagdalenawor.com Dr. Jarosław Gołembiowski, Polish-born composer and pianist composes vocal and instrumental music. As President of the Chicago Chopin Society, he arranges concerts for distinguished musicians of Polish descent.
