Apply by March 16: Schmidt Vocal Institute (SVI) 2026!

The Schmidt Vocal Institute (SVI) nurtures and mentors the development of talented high school singers who wish to pursue studies in music performance or education. The curriculum focuses on training singers to have a healthy technique, improved musicianship, and outstanding performance skills.  

2026 Participants of SVI will receive:

• Master Classes or private coachings with distinguished guest faculty tenor Richard Cox (SFCM), coach/pianist Justina Lee (Juilliard), and soprano Marquita Lister (Morgan State)
• "Mindful Movement for Singers" with Dr. Katherine Jolly (Oberlin)
• Private voice lessons and coachings with SVI Resident Faculty
• Courses in Acting, Lyric Diction, Vocal Health, AT & more
• Two public performances
• Tickets to Cincinnati Opera
