NO APPLICATION FEE: Sarasota Opera on Florida’s Gulf Coast is accepting applications for its winter 2019 Apprentice Artists Program (January 4, 2019 through March 24, 2019).
September auditions will be held in Chicago, Sarasota, and New York.
The company will perform “Turandot” (Puccini), “The Magic Flute” (Mozart), and “Nabucco” (Verdi), as well as a double bill of “Rita” (Donizetti) and “Susanna’s Secret” (Wolf-Ferrari). Mainstage conductors and stage directors are: Victor DeRenzi, Marcello Cormio, Jesse Martins, Stephanie Sundine, Martha Collins, Mark Freiman, and JJ Hudson.
Apprentices sing chorus and take part in concerts, classes, and coachings. Some cover roles available. These are paid positions with shared housing in new company-owned facility.
