REQUIREMENTS & DEADLINES
Final Application Deadline: April 15th, 2024
Admissions results will be sent on a rolling basis.
AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
Minimum age is 18.
SOA singers are typically between the ages of 19-36, but there are no age limits. We accept musicians on the basis of potential and the stage of musical development.
AUDITION & REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS
Auditions can via recording submitted as part of your application process.
Video links (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) are still required as part of your application process in the event that your audition is cancelled due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. Singers will be evaluated based on their live auditions and only on their recorded auditions if the live audition is not attended.
Recorded Auditions: Please submit 2-3 arias relating to your desired role(s) during Part 2 of your application process. Video is preferred but audio is accepted.
RESULTS
Successful candidates will be invited to a video interview by email in the weeks following auditions.
Casting offers will be sent on a rolling basis.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & FELLOWSHIPS
To apply for financial support, please include a brief letter of request at the time of your application and see SOA's "Apply" page for further details. Financial assistance is available in sums ranging from 500-3000 € and SOA offers a limited number of full-tuition fellowships.
