Deadlines approaching: Opera North's 2024 Resident Artist Program!

In July 2024, Opera North offers three imaginative productions with orchestra, including Offenbach's Orphee aux enfers (Orpheus in the Underworld), Verdi's Rigoletto and Sondheim's Into the Woods at our outdoor home, the stunning Blow-Me-Down Farm on the banks of the Connecticut River. These productions feature our Resident Artists in all roles whenever possible. In addition, Resident Artists are featured in concerts with orchestra.

Reviewers called last season's productions "gorgeously sung" and "sublimely beautiful," and noted "to a one, the singers cast boasted excellent voices...with the full support of the fine Opera North orchestra, all conducted by Artistic Director Louis Burkot."

This fall, Opera North will offer both in-person and live virtual auditions. Audition locations and dates are as follows: Boston (October 29), Chicago (November 4), Dallas (November 5), New York City (November 12, 14, 15, 16), and Virtual (November 10, 28, 29, 30). The application deadlines vary by audition location: October 27 (Boston auditions), October 31 (Dallas and Chicago auditions), November 7 (Virtual auditions); November 10 (New York City auditions).
