Casting has begun for Opera Lucca's production of Gianni Schicchi! Apply now to study Italian opera and language in Puccini's hometown. Opera Lucca is a summer festival for singers, pianists, and composers. It will be held at the Lucca Italian School in the summer of 2024, June 8th - July 7th. For the centennial of Puccini's death, this season we are casting roles in Gianni Schicchi as well as in scenes from Suor Angelica, Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, La bohème, and other bel canto, baroque, and dramatic repertoire. We specialize in teaching Italian opera and art song through a focus on the poetic language. Our distinguished faculty includes native Italian speakers and experts in operatic Italian from Italy and the US. Join us for an unforgettable summer!
