This summer, step into a space where language and music become one. In our 7-week German for Singers program at Middlebury College (VT), you won’t just study German—you’ll use it every day, in class, in rehearsals and coachings, on stage, and in performance. Become proficient in just seven weeks, meet some of the most amazing people you'll ever meet, and have a musico-linguistic adventure you'll never forget.
You’ll work closely with world-class faculty on German Lieder and a fully staged opera project. From the first rehearsal to the final performance, you’ll experience the production process in German, gaining both fluency and hands-on experience that prepares you for studying and performing abroad.
At the end of the session, we'll offer a sponsored trip to Germany where you'll perform your opera project and audition for German opera agents. And you'll get to apply your newkly-minted language abilities abroad.
We also do our very best to make it possible for talented singers to attend regardless of cost. Financial Aid and additional funding can cover up to 75% of the program, so you can focus on the music and the experience.
