Apply Today for the 2026 Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition

The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $50,000 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award and the $10,000 Facing Forward Award for the finest performance of an aria composed in the 21st century.

The 2026 competition takes place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in New York City May 18-23. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and preliminary judges. Twelve finalists are chosen to perform before the Finals Judges who are distinguished in the world of opera. After the competition, finalists may request feedback from the judges.
