The Greater Opera World: Fractured Atlas

Ever thought about seeking funding for a creative project?  Want to tap traditional donation options available to registered non-profits rather than hitting up friends and family for support?  If you are in NYC on June 13, why not check out the Fiscal Sponsorship information session at Fractured Atlas? The session will provide a brief overview of the fiscal sponsorship program, talk about how to connect to and raise money from individuals, how to run a successful crowdfunding campaign (including information on Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and RocketHub), and briefly talk about grants.

If you've got a role you feel ready to perform but no immediate prospects for performing it, consider taking charge of your schedule by wearing the producer hat.  There are many small opera companies that have cropped up in the last few years with the initial intention of proving performance opportunities to friends and school colleagues that have ultimately developed into burgeoning local organizations.  Do you have what it takes to run a successful production?  What's stopping you from giving it a shot?  If funding seems like an insurmountable obstacle, let us know what you think after attending the upcoming session at Fractured Atlas! We hope it will give you the encouragement to give the production side a shot!
