FIO AMERICAS is an opera festival that tours the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil.  It is a unique opportunity to work with internationally renowned professionals while being immersed in an environment with young opera singers from all parts of the world! This is why FIO AMERICAS is a one of a kind international opera experience.

FIO AMERICAS will present three fully staged, costumed operas with orchestra in some of Brazil’s most beautiful theaters.

The festival’s 2015 Season is:

Il Guarany, by C. Gomes, staged by Carroll Freeman
Street Scene, by Kurt Weill – staged by David Roth
Die Zauberflöte, by W.A. Mozart – staged by Copeland Woodruff

The expertise and depth of our faculty is unique to FIO AMERICAS.  The wealth of knowledge both as international performers and pedagogues and the commitment to the students’ development remains unparalleled.  Each participant will have access to this remarkable faculty and amazing staff on a
daily basis in lessons, coachings, rehearsals, and outside in the relaxed atmosphere of Brazil.
