BIOA Classic is a boutique-style training and career development program that offers the following: daily master classes; one-on-one coaching from world-renowned opera singers, voice teachers, opera directors and coaches; participation in two recitals at the end of the program; and the opportunity to be immersed in Italian language and culture, while living in the picturesque and historic surroundings of Bologna. BIOA’s curriculum is carefully designed to build the proficiency and discipline that will facilitate success for those seeking a professional singing career, as well as exposing participants to professional-level opera auditions early in their careers.

BIOA Opera Theater is a new and exciting performing program that is available to highly motivated and talented singers and offers the following: all essential elements of BIOA Classic (daily master classes, one-on-one coaching from world-renowned opera singers, opera directors and coaches, house and agent auditions) plus intensive role preparation for Gianni Schicchi while in Bologna. After BIOA Classic, singers will travel to Bulgaria where they will rehearse and perform a fully staged production of Gianni Schicchi with orchestra. Note: all roles must be learned and memorized prior to the arrival of the program.

The collaborative pianist program allows for five pianists to join BIOA Classic and participate in a unique way. Accepted applicants will work daily with vocalists and coaches to develop the piano skills needed to thrive in an operatic environment. Pianists will work closely with internationally recognized coaches and pianists in the opera field to develop and hone their accompanying abilities. This piano intensive is designed to provide pianists with an immersive experience in the operatic collaborative piano world.
