Canto Vocal Programs announces its first summer in the US! After many successful programs in Europe, Canto's international team of teachers (MET, Teatro Liceu, Les Maîtres Sonneurs, Ópera de Colombia) comes to Louisville, KY for 3 weeks of intensive coaching leading to a staged production of Le Nozze di Figaro and an evening of opera scenes. Canto-Louisville will focus on developing the musical and dramatic skills that are the hallmark of great performers. In addition, master classes, audition preparation, recitative style and French conversation classes will also be offered. Join us for a unique learning experience with the Canto team! The Miami Music Festival has openings for select leading and supporting roles for Mezzos, Tenors and Basses. Spend your summer in the sun! At MMF, you will perform in large-scale productions with full orchestra while you learn and sharpen your craft through masterclasses with star artists, individual instruction with prominent voice faculty. MMF 2018 includes six mainstage productions: Ariadne auf Naxos, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, La Rondine, The Medium, Dido and Aeneas, and John Corigliano’s The Ghosts of Versailles, with additional performance opportunities. Prague Summer Nights is casting select roles in Le nozze di Figaro & Die Zauberflöte, including the Count, Don Basilio and Papageno. Scholarships are available. In addition to working with stars Lawrence Brownlee and Rosalind Plowright in Europe's most prestigious venues, participants will perform in fully-staged productions with orchestra at the historic Estates Theatre, featuring sets and costumes from the National Theatre—all while receiving lessons, coachings and masterclasses from both PSN's world-class faculty and guest clinicians from Prague Conservatory. Application deadline extended - April 15, 2018: Following the great success from the previous five years, OCAVA announces the OCAVA-in-Rome 2018 Summer Program for singers in Rome, Italy (June 17 to July 8). The young vocal artists from the United States and abroad will come to Rome to work with an internationally renowned faculty on this intensive 3-week program that combines daily voice lessons and Italian language classes, weekly master classes, lectures/workshops, group discussions, and three public concerts. This 3-week program is open to high school and college students/graduates, and accomplished amateurs who want to develop performance skills, improve vocal technique, and actively participate in music making and performances in a highly professional atmosphere.

This is an exclusive one-week master class for only 10 students in one of the most enchanting cities in the world and the birthplace of opera. It will take place this August with renowned international tenor Bruce Ford, bel canto specialist Ken Querns Langley, and coaches Roberto Bertuzzi from La Fenice opera house in Venice, and Janus Araghipour. Lessons will take place Monday to Friday and will include 2 hours of Italian each day, singing lessons AND vocal coaching each day, as well as rehearsals. There will be a concert on Saturday 14 July 2018 and an amazing evening 'cast party' on a boat in the magnificent Canal Grande where we will be front row to observe the stunning fireworks display of La Festa del Redentore di Venezia!
