Applications are now open for the New Generation Festival-Mascarade Opera Studio Opera Scenes Summer School 2020. The summer school is an intensive training and performance programme for young aspiring singers at conservatoire level, taking place in Florence in August 2020. Housed in the stunning surroundings of the Palazzo Corsini in the centre of Florence, the NGF-MOS Opera Scenes Summer School gives students the opportunity to enhance their performance skills in Opera. Running alongside the dynamic New Generation Festival, the course provides one-to-one working sessions with industry professionals, as well as working towards a public performance in the Palazzo ballroom of a series of Opera Scenes. 

Boston Wagner Institute at New England Conservatory with Director, Jane Eaglen July 27th-August 7th, 2020 Boston Wagner Institute is an education-forward program for singers with the potential to sing Wagner. This program offers a daily private session for each participant, rotating between Ms. Eaglen, and master pianist coaches, Michael Strauss, and Eric Weimer, along with movement and dramatic sessions with Assistant Director, Danielle Wright. The final concert will take place in NEC's Jordan Hall. Applications are due Saturday, Dec 21, 2019.

BAY VIEW AUDITIONS FOR LA TRAVIATA, SPIRITUALS, SCENES. Bay View Music Festival, on Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey, Michigan, is holding open auditions both online and at 7 locations around the country. Options are the 2020 Mainstage Opera La Traviata (6 wks); Scenes/ArtSong/Recording Intensive (2 wks) or the American Spirituals Intensive (1 wk), or a combination of these. Dates from 6/5/20 to 8/16/20. Online auditions through December 15. Program includes room, board, and tuition, work-study options, and a gorgeous empowering opportunity to perform.

Opera in Oregon Wine Country! Aquilon Music Festival is mounting Mozart's Così fan tutte.  Additional performing opportunities include scenes, winery concerts, lieder recitals and more. The faculty includes Metropolitan Opera's Richard Zeller and Juliana Gondeck (UCLA), conductor Barbara Day Turner and the veteran stage director Daniel Helfgot.   All voice types are welcome to apply. The Manhattan Opera Studio will be holding auditions for the 2020 Summer Festival. The MOS Summer Festival is the first Summer Program of its kind in Manhattan. All the selected singers will have the opportunity to perform a fully staged opera with orchestra. Selected singers will participate in an aria and opera scenes concert at the Bruno Walter Auditorium in the prestigious Lincoln Center, masterclasses with some of the most prestigious agents of New York City, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and coachings in music and diction.

The Dutch National Opera Academy is a two-year master programme (120 ECTS) for highly motivated young opera singers focusing on the integration of the vocal, musical, dramatic and physical components of performing opera. DNOA graduates receive a Master of Music diploma and are trained to be creative, flexible and resilient artists who are equal to the many challenges of a professional career in opera. The deadline to apply is December 2, 2019.
