Ravinia's Steans Music Institute is the Ravinia Festival’s professional studies program for young musicians; the Program for Singers exists to promote the art of song, focusing on the central repertoire of German, French, English, and American art song. Everyone accepted for the program receives a full fellowship covering all Institute activities, housing, most meals and intercampus transportation. Applications are open until October 25, but as always, we recommend you apply early!

The International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch (IVC) has been Holland’s sole international classical vocal competition since 1954. Prizes total € 45.000, and the competition offers a distinguished jury including well-known singers and casting directors and travel expenses for semi-finalists and finalists. Applications for the 2014 Emerald City Opera Institute are now up on YAP Tracker! This season, ECO’s Artist Institute will produce a fully-staged production of Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), and participate in the company's mainstage production of Falstaff (Verdi). The three-week program will also contain arias concerts, master classes, and stage movement with professional faculty. Auditions will be held in New York, Las Vegas and Denver as well as by recording. The deadline to apply is December 31.

The International Meistersinger Akademie (IMA) offers emerging artists an exceptional environment of excellence in the study of opera, oratorio and Lied/Mélodie. Il Cuore Canta is an annual workshop and ensemble project intended for young classical singers who wish for greater freedom of vocal expression, ease of vocal production, and depth of musical experience. Il Cuore Canta is now in its third year, and there are no fees to participate (housing is provided). Applications are open now on YAP Tracker through December 1.

A three-week study opportunity in the center of Europe’s musical life – this program is designed for advanced undergraduate and graduate students, professional singers and teachers. Applications are due February 14, 2014.
