To be eligible for the Boston Conservatory Opera Intensive at Valencia, you must be a singer who is currently an undergraduate student or who has recently completed your undergraduate study. It is not necessary to have studied voice or opera as an undergraduate, but you should be serious about opera study and have at least three arias, prepared in the original languages, in your repertoire. This four-week intensive opera program for the collegiate, pre-professional singer (18 years and older) combines language and musical study with Italian cultural immersion. Program participants work closely with a faculty of internationally distinguished artists, teachers, coaches, conductors, and stage directors. You will develop your singing-acting craft, musical interpretation, and artistry—all in the heart of Tuscany.
