The Virtual Intensive Vocal Academy presented by Opera Project Columbus provides an opportunity for opera singers continue to work on their craft remotely with internationally-renowned faculty. These five classes will address far more than singing, focusing on practical aspects of a singer's career. The instructors—Ed Bak, Wendy Taucher, Giuseppe Filianoti, Devon Cass, and Emilio Pons—will give each give an hour-long class on topics such as the music of language, creating characters, details of Italian text and recitative, visual presentation, and tricks for auditioning in Europe. The Eurasia Festival Virtual Opera Institute will offer singers from all over the world a unique opportunity to study roles from Tchaikovsky’s operas.   Auditions are NOT required. Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival now in its 7th season, offers the most advanced and complete training.  5 weeks of training in the heart of the Mediterranean on the island of Sicily with conductors, coaches and voice instructors from The Metropolitan Opera, ROH Covent Garden, and Vienna Staatsoper.  Performing a major role with orchestra (La Boheme, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi) completes the intensive training, giving participants a complete learning experience.  June 21-July 27.

Women Conductors from around the world are invited to apply to the sixth residency of the Linda and Mitch Hart Institute of Women Conductors (HIWC) at The Dallas Opera. This year's residency will take place in Dallas from February 8 to February 19, 2021. The program will include hands on conducting opportunities with the Dallas Opera Orchestra, masterclasses with Emmanuel Villaume and Nicole Paeiment, and seminars with prominent leaders in classical music and opera. Mt. Fuji International Opera Competition of Shizuoka is held in Japan once three years to commemorate the world-famous prima donna, MIURA Tamaki.
