OPERA NORTH 2021 RESIDENT ARTIST PROGRAM: November 1 application deadline approaching!

Opera North's 2021 summer season includes Puccini's La Bohème, 'Extraordinary Women’ (a showcase of extended scenes from Baroque and modern opera), and a concert of opera and music theater selections with orchestra and circus artists, all under tents at Opera North's new outdoor art park at Blow-Me-Down Farm. Some of the musical coaching will take place over Zoom prior to the artists' arrival at Opera North. Singers accepted for the program must be available at mutually-agreed upon times between June 27-July 15 for virtual coachings ahead of the three-week residency. Housing, travel, and stipend provided!

CANTO OPERA STUDIO ONLINE: Introducing the Canto Opera Studio Online! Apply to take part in a monthly, intensive program with top of the line faculty. Each 3-day session consists of one-on-one coachings working on interpretation, repertoire, style as well as the art of performing online. This comprehensive program provides singers the opportunity to sing for distinguished, industry professionals. At the end of each session, singers will perform one-two arias for our guest artist, receive feedback plus a Q&A. There is a separate application for each session. Opera Naples Resident Artists Program: apply by November 1!

Don't miss the November 1st deadline to apply to the Opera Naples Resident Artists Program!  This five week professional residency occuring February 7 through March 14, 2021 will feature the four selected artists in a Festival Under the Stars in performances of La Traviata and West Side Story (concert version) with orchestra at the beautiful Baker Park in Naples, FL.  Further your career by engaging in an intensive program of training and performance opportunities led by Artistic Director, Ramon Tebar.  Artists are provided a stipend and local housing.

Launch your career in paradise with PALM BEACH OPERA. The free application deadline for our 2022 Benenson Young Artist and Apprentice Artist Programs is Monday, OCTOBER 12. These 5-month professional residencies offer transformative performing opportunities and intensive training with an outstanding resident staff and guest faculty. All artists work with distinguished guest coaches Craig Rutenberg and Danielle Orlando; voice teachers Stephen King, Michael Paul, and Nova Thomas; diction coach Corradina Caporello; acting coach Paul Curran; and resident coaches Greg Ritchey, Tim Cheung, Ksenia Leletkina, and Ben Malensek. Benenson Young Artists sing supporting roles and cover lead roles alongside our international casts, while Apprentice Artists perform throughout our beautiful community in concerts.

Apply now to the National Opera Association's Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition, the finals of which will be held virtually by video submission on January 9, 2021.
