Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point has extended the application/virtual audition deadline until February 25 due to the challenges of late-starting semesters, rehearsals, recording and Omicronitis. Emerging Artist productions of Così fan tutte, La rondine and A Little Night Music, each in 7-8 double-cast performances, fully staged productions with orchestra. With three unique options to choose from, BIOA prepares all participants for a successful career in opera. Three weeks remain and there is are limited spots available. BIOA classic offers masterclasses, one-on-one training with world-class faculty, industry auditions, and recital performance opportunities. BIOA Opera Theater also includes role preparation (in Bologna) for a fully-staged production of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and opera gala with orchestra in Burgas, Bulgaria. Eleven years of exceptional in-person training has prepared the Druid City Opera Workshop faculty well for an exciting week of learning and performance experience. Join us, May 18-26 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for a week of singing and sharing and expanding your network. The week will include classes in acting, movement, yoga, improvisation, and the business of singing, in addition to one-on-one musical coachings. Directed by Laura Brooks Rice, Sewanee Summer Music Festival's 4-week OperaFest offers private coaching, masterclasses, various performance opportunities, and workshops exploring professional learning. Our programs focus on our three artistic pillars: creation, collaboration, and mentorship. Each session provides training on operatic style, diction and language, dramatic presentation, performance technique, and professional skills training portfolio artists. OperaFest participants will have a range of performance and coaching opportunities, including weekly public master classes, aria showcases, a scenes program, chamber performances, and collaborative performances with SSMF student composers.
