The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $50,000 in awards this year, including a $15,000 First Place award and the $10,000 Facing Forward Award, in honor of the Jensen Competition’s 25th Anniversary. The 2025 competition takes place in New York City May 12-17. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and judges. Apply by February 23rd to study Italian opera and language in Puccini's hometown. Opera Lucca is a summer festival for singers, pianists, and composers. It will be held at the Lucca Italian School in the summer of 2025, June 7th - July 6th. This season we are casting roles in Le nozze di Figaro as well as in scenes from Suor Angelica, Così fan tutte, La bohème, and other bel canto, baroque, and dramatic repertoire. We specialize in teaching Italian opera and art song through a focus on the poetic language.
