The Young Patroness of the Opera (Florida Grand Opera) competition application is up for 2013! This competition, held every two years, offers the promise of both fame and fortune for the winners; prizes total $44,000, and many of the previous winners have gone on to stellar career paths. The competition will be held in Miami in April, and the deadline to apply is February 1.

Applications for singers are due December 3, but don't delay in applying: audition slots for this popular program, which focuses on the promotion of art of song, fill quickly.
Il Cuore Canta, now in its second year, is an all-scholarship program that will be held in the charming town of Cold Spring, NY. Each participant will receive frequent individual singing lessons with Deborah Carmichael, coachings and other training, and attendance will be free of charge to attendees. The deadline to apply is November 30, 2012.
The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, a summer vocal training program on Hawai'i's beautiful Big Island, is now accepting applications for their 2013 season. Opportunities include an Italian Opera Intensive, a Baroque Opera Boot Camp, and many additional performance opportunities. Applications will be accepted until April 1, 2013, but live auditions will be held in New York as early as November 30.
