Audition Applications for the 2026 Festival Season with the Ohio Light Opera are due Sunday, October 26th. For 47 seasons, The Ohio Light Opera has dedicated itself to the exploration and production of the best of traditional operetta and musical theater. Our recently announced 2026 season includes: My Fair Lady (Lerner and Lowe, 1956), Damn Yankees (Adler and Ross, 1955), The Boys from Syracuse (Rodgers and Hart, 1938), The Merry Widow (Franz Lehár, 1905), Yeomen of the Guard (Gilbert and Sullivan, 1888), The Red Mill (Victor Herbert, 1906)). Auditions are available either in-person or virtually and OLO offers both professional and young artist contracts.  All offers are paid and include housing for the duration of the contract.

Applications are open for just another 4 weeks for Mascarade Opera, an opera training and performance programme at the Mascarade Opera Foundation in Florence, Italy for exceptionally talented young singers and répétiteurs. With one-to-one coaching and career management, the programme nurtures both artistic growth and industry readiness. Working alongside top opera houses and agencies, artists are able to translate their training into professional performances. Places on the programme are entirely funded with artists receiving tuition, maintenance and accommodation grants equivalent to entry-level salaried positions in the industry. Prague Summer Nights hosts aspiring young opera professionals for 4 weeks of individual coaching & voice lessons in Tábor & Prague with PSN faculty from Juilliard, NEC, Peabody, Oberlin, Northwestern University, U-M, DU & other top schools.
