Vienna Summer Music Festival and Vocal Competition 2022

The Vienna Summer Music Festival is proud to announce its 2022 Season.

We are hosting our annual Vocal Competition on December 11th in NYC at Opera America. Select competitors will receive partial to full scholarships to attend our program in Vienna for our 2022 season.

To be considered for our Vocal Competition, you must submit your application by December 1st. You will hear back from us by December 5th if you have been selected to compete in NYC at Opera America on December 11th, 2021.

If you apply for the competition you will automatically be considered for the main program in 2022.

The regular application deadline is March 15th, however, we begin rolling enrollment after our competition so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Applicants may submit recordings in lieu of a live audition.

Opera Institute and Opera Studio applicants: Please submit two contrasting arias, one of which needs to be sung in French, Italian, or German.

Competition applicants: Please include three arias, one of which must be in either French or German. At least one selection must be a video upload.
