Fill out this application for Principal, Comprimario and Chorus consideration. There is no separate chorus application.

At this time we have waitlist for all of our audition locations. UAO receives cancellations weekly and fills these openings from the waitlist. We encourage you to fill out the applcation so that we can put you on our waitlist and grant you a time when one becomes available. While it is not guaranteed, it is highly likely that you will be moved from the waitlist to the audition list.

Season Information

Rehearsals for each show begin three weeks prior to opening night.
UAO is hearing for all roles in DON GIOVANNI and RIGOLETTO. UAO is only hearing for the roles of Hagen, Gunther, Gutrune, Alberich, Woglinde, Waltraute, Flosshilde and Wellgunde in GOTTERDAMMERUNG. UAO does not cast covers.
All chorus members are compensated but must provide own transporation and local housing. To be considered for chorus artist MUST audition in St. Louis, Missouri on either January 9 or 10.
See rehearsal dates above. Chorus members are only scheduled in the evening and on weekends.

Payment Details

There is a $35 non-refundable audition fee for Los Angeles and New York, and a $10 non-refundable audition fee for St. Louis. This fee is to be paid within 10 days of your application being APPROVED. Upon application approval an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to pay. Do not send in payment prior to being granted an audition.
