Tulsa Opera - Filstrup Resident Artist Company Audition Application 2027-2028

Tulsa Opera seeks emerging artists to join the Filstrup Resident Artist Company at Tulsa Opera for the 2027-28 season and it's 27-28 mainstage season. Tentative repertoire includes the following titles:

Verdi's La traviata
Cipullo's Glory Denied
Moore's Gallantry
Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti
Puccini: Passion and Glory - an evening celebrating the music of Giacomo Puccini which also includes his Messa di Gloria
Menotti's Amahl & the Night Visitors - production in collaboration with the Tulsa Youth Opera.

All roles are paid.
Housing and Travel provided.

Audition Location

Applicants will be pre-screened and will be notified of their status by October 17 (but often earlier). Applicants who are granted live auditions will be given a link to sign up for their preferred audition time. There is no application fee in 2026. There is a nonrefundable audition fee of $40 which will be due when you schedule your live audition, if granted.

Spotlight on Opera*

Tulsa Opera now offers a pay-to-sing summer program separate from the Filstrup Resident Artist Company. The program runs four to five weeks in July and early August. If you wish to be considered for Spotlight on Opera in addition to the Filstrup Resident Artist Company, please select "YES" below.
