Painted Sky Opera Auditions for 2019-20 Season

This application closed on Wednesday April 24, 2019.

Please fill out all information and attach a resume and headshot to your application. If you choose to audition by video, please attach videos files to the application. Four arias are required, and preferably Italian, French and English arias should be included, whether you are auditioning in person or via video. Recorded auditions are allowed (at least two must be video-recorded-the other two can be audio recordings; we prefer videos, however).

$10 of your $20 audition fee will be refunded to you if you choose to do a in-person audition. Online-only auditions and no-shows will not receive any refund of audition fees.

Auditions will take place at The University of Central Oklahoma, Music Building, Room 135, 100 North University Drive, Edmond, OK, on April 26 from 4 pm to 9 pm, April 27 from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, and April 28 from 1pm to 5pm. Pianist will be provided. If you have conflicts on any of the audition dates, please include them in the auditions conflict box and we will do our best to schedule around them.

Painted Sky Opera is auditioning for the following operas in our 2019-20 season:

Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Rossini - September 20, 22, and 27, 2019 (All parts open except for Berta)
Amahl and the Night Visitors, Menotti - December 13 & 14, 2019 (most roles will be cast with Oklahoma based artists)
Glory Denied, Cipullo - January 31, February 2 and 7, 2020
La Serva Padrona (sung in English), Pergolesi - May 14-17, 2020
Service Provider, Weiss - Spring 2020 (will be cast with Oklahoma based artists)

Rehearsals are in Oklahoma City and typically begin three weeks before the first performance.
