Opera North: Resident Artist Program Application 2026 for Singers, Pianists, Assistant Stage Managers, and Artistic Administrators

Opera North will be conducting in-person (in selected cities) and online auditions for its 2026 Resident Artist Program. Please read the ENTIRE OPERA NORTH OPPORTUNITY for answers to your questions.

Opera North will review your application and contact you through YAP Tracker to communicate the status of your application. Please make sure that your YAP Tracker account has the correct email address (should be your user id) and that you are receiving email from YAP Tracker successfully to ensure that you do not miss communications from Opera North.

Video Selections*

Singers: 2-3 contrasting arias. One must be in Italian, one must be in English, and the 3rd may be in language of your choice. A musical theatre selection may be a 4th offering.
Pianists: a 5-7 minute excerpt from one of the larger ensembles from La Cenerentola or L'Elisir d'Amore. If you can sing selected vocal parts, it is helpful (but not a requirement).
Assistant Stage Managers and Artistic Administrators: Not applicable (no video required).

The application fee is non-refundable. Please pay the $15 Application Fee for virtual auditions or the $25 Application Fee for in-person auditions by Opera North's Stripe account:

Selected cities (limited availability) are indicated above and the fee includes the pianist for live auditions. If a virtual audition is granted to an in-person audition applicant, $10 of your application fee will be refunded.
