Opera North will be conducting in-person (in selected cities) and online auditions for its 2026 Resident Artist Program. Please read the ENTIRE OPERA NORTH OPPORTUNITY for answers to your questions.

Video Selections*

Singers: 2-3 contrasting arias. One must be in Italian, one must be in English, and the 3rd may be in language of your choice. A musical theatre selection may be a 4th offering.
Pianists: a 5-7 minute excerpt from one of the larger ensembles from La Cenerentola or L'Elisir d'Amore. If you can sing selected vocal parts, it is helpful (but not a requirement).
Assistant Stage Managers and Artistic Administrators: Not applicable (no video required).

Selected cities (limited availability) are indicated above and the fee includes the pianist for live auditions. If a virtual audition is granted to an in-person audition applicant, $10 of your application fee will be refunded.
