Opera MODO Presents: Detroit Aria Competition 2018

Opera MODO is excited to bring back the Detroit Aria Competition! In conjunction with Christ Church Detroit, we are proud to be investing in our local and tri-state area (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana) artistic communities, and supporting those singers who continue to make art a focal point in their lives. 

Pre-screening/application (due by August 11th, 2018): 2 recorded arias in contrasting styles and languages (videos preferred)

Finals located at Christ Church Detroit on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 7pm (Participants in the Finals will be informed by August 15, 2018)

ONLY accepting applciations from residents of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana

The competition has three categories:

Rising Stars Category (ages 16-21): Christ Church Detroit Prize of $250

Young Artists Category (ages 22-29): Christ Church Detroit Prize of $300

Emerging Artists Category (ages 30+): MODO Prize of $500

All finilists elegible for the Audience Choice Prize of $250
