2023 McCammon Voice Competition

The McCammon Voice Competition is open to an international pool of artists currently working toward a professional opera career in the United States. Up to $15,000 in prize money available for contestants. A panel of opera experts will judge the preliminary and final rounds. First place winner will also be guaranteed a role in a future Fort Worth Opera production.

The McCammon Voice Competition is open to artists who are 18 years old by the date of the competition.

Applicants must submit a full resume, proof of age, and audio recordings of two (2) contrasting opera arias. Headshots are not required at the preliminary round as this is a blind audition.

Recordings

Please include two opera arias of contrasting styles and languages. Recordings cannot be more than 12 months old. Audio recording are accepted at this stage. Please do not exceed 2 files in total or your form will not submit.

Application Signature

By submitting this application, applicants agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the McCammon Competition committee and judges. Winners agree to acknowledge their McCammon Voice Competition award in any program, biography or news release for three (3) years. You also understand that the Competition and associated activities may be recorded, either audio or audiovisual, and the Competition shall have sole ownership of any recording and have the right to broadcast the recording for non-commercial purposes or to use the materials for publicity purposes without compensation to the artist. No commercial use of the recording will be used without consent and compensation to the artist.*
