For a live audition, singers must upload a pre-screening video (You Tube link only).Video auditions must include the required audition repertoire; see below. The number of course participants are limited, so early application is recommended.

Live Audition Repertoire/Video Only Audition

All applicants, except for IMA alumni, must submit a pre-screening video to be considered for a live audition. Pre-screening videos must include one aria in Italian and one aria in French or German. Applicants may also apply by video only. Video only/Live audition requirements: 1. Three opera arias - one must be in Italian. One oratorio aria can be presented in lieu of an opera aria and arias from pre-screening can be used again. 2. One German Lied by any composer

Payment Instructions

An application fee of $40 must be submitted by credit card via YAP Tracker. If paying via credit card presents a problem, payment by check is possible under special circumstances. If needed, please contact Linda McAlister at ima@meistersingerakademie.com. Alumni of IMA do not need to pay an application fee or submit pre-screening videos and should contact Ms. McAlister for special application instructions.
